RAF WARRANT OFFICER’S PILOT UNIFORM SET - TUNIC, TROUSERS & FIELD SERVICE CAP

RAF WARRANT OFFICER’S PILOT UNIFORM SET - TUNIC, TROUSERS & FIELD SERVICE CAP

SOLD

For sale is a lovely example of a scarce Warrant Officer’s uniform set, comprising: Tunic, complete with Pilot’s wings, 1944 dated. Size 10; Trousers, 1943 dated, Size 12; and Field Service Cap. All uniform items are maker-made in Leeds.

The tunic is Air Ministry made in officer-quality barathea wool. The overall condition is superb with the tunic most likely never worn. As the photos show it is 1943 dated, but further stamped March 1944, which is most likely when it was issued.

The tunic is complete with Pilot wings and Warrant Officer trade badges to both arms. All insignia in excellent condition.

The tunic is a Size 10 and fits perfectly on my mannequin bust, which has a 36-38 chest.

The tunic is complemented by a superb, unworn pair of trousers, 1943 dated and maker-made in Leeds (like the tunic). Both uniform items are then completed with a Field Service Cap, again in superb condition.

Overall a superb and scarce uniform set, totally original to one another but most likely never worn. Suitable for either a collector or reenactor.
