RAF MARK VII FLYING GOGGLES + FLIPSHIELD

For sale from my private collection are a superb pair of RAF Mark VII Flying Goggles (22C/827) complete with the ultra rare flipshield (screen, anti-glare; 22C/836).
 
As the photos show the goggles are in excellent condition, retaining the vast majority of the original aquamarine blue finish. There is some light chipping, but nothing awful, and the rear chamois and leather surround are both in excellent shape. As is usual with these goggles, the internal padding has hardened somewhat. The only visible flaw the goggles have is some minor warping to the frames on the left-hand side, commensurate with field use.
 
The goggles are complemented by a lovely example of the extremely rare flipshield, which still functions smoothly. Of all of the main issue Goggles the RAF used during WW2 this is now probably the hardest flipshield to find, and one has to be careful of reproductions. This shield is completely original and has been with the goggles since the war.
