RAF EARLY PATTERN OXYGEN HOSE - PART REPRO
SOLD
For sale is an excellent, entry level example of a wartime, early pattern oxygen hose, to fit the early rubber masks (Type E onwards). This particular set comprises an original wartime MK IV brass bayonet fitting, fully AM marked (6D/526), along with a NOS post-war rubber hose.
Whilst at face value this looks like a superb example of the early, ‘narrow’ pattern of oxygen hose (intended for the Type E mask), the hose itself is actually a NOS post-war example. Almost identical to the wartime originals as my photos show, the main difference is that the hose is ever so slightly longer, and the opening to fit to a mask is tighter. Once fitted to a mask these look absolutely spot-on, and reflect great value for money being roughly 1/3 of the cost of an original.
A great investment for display or reenactment, with originals now being very hard to come by.
