RAF ‘BATTLE OF BRITAIN’ FLYING HELMET EXTERNAL WIRING LOOM, TYPE Q (EARLY) NOS

For sale is an absolutely mint, NOS RAF External Wiring Loom, Type Q Cord, for use with helmets Type B/C/D/E. Stores reference 10H/10353.
 
The wiring loom would be very difficult to upgrade, being NOS. It is a lovely mid tan colour, with subtle pink flecks, and is of an earlier pattern, with the main microphone lead being cotton covered (as opposed to the later, plastic sheathed iterations), and the earphone leads being of the fully rounded type. This makes it very appropriate for a Battle of Britain display. The loom does not have a bell-plug attached, but these can be found separately.
 
These looms are now very hard to come by, and when they do come up for sale they don’t tend to last long.
